Winter Wonderland
Not your average Christmas story...
Scarlet and Ember are identical twins on the outside, but on the inside they're complete opposites.
They both share the same creme complexion, dark blue eyes and fiery red locks.
Ember had always been the good girl. Good grades, daddy's favorite, and hung with the popular crowd.
Scarlet was bad. Everything her sister strived to be, Scarlet hated.
When the holidays come, and tragedy strikes home, Scarlet and Ember are forced to move away from everything and everyone they know. They soon find out that their new home is a living nightmare. Putting the past behind them, Scarlet and Ember form a new bond. A bond of hatred for everyone around them. Their emotions unleash and everything in the quiet town they had moved to becomes chaos.
Scarlet and Ember seek revenge, and they will stop at nothing to get it.

Ok, and I'll share what's been written on it so far!! Lol... here goes:
Her midnight blue eyes burned into another identical pair across the dining room table. She clenched her jaw and gave her reflection the worst glare imagineable. If looks could kill, Ember would have been kicking the bucket at that moment.
Although she shared the same face as Ember, Scarlet couldn't stand looking at it without cringing. Ember was always bubbly and smiling. They could be standing in the middle of a blizzard and her sister would find a way to be happy about the situation. Scarlet hated her. She hated life in general.
She and Ember were identical twins, but technically Ember was two minutes older. Scarlet didn't envy her sister like most thought she did. She loathed her. She wished she had been an only child so that she didn't have to wake each morning, knowing that her stunt double was already up, ruining another day in her life.
Most twins held an incredible bond with each other, but not Scarlet and Ember. If they hadn't been identical, no one would have guessed that they were even related.
Scarlet sat with a scowl permanently imprinted across her milky white skin. She watched as Ember's high school sweetheart, Devin, handed her a small wrapped present.
Scarlet rolled her eyes at the cheesey cotton candy wrapping paper and the frilly silver bow. Devin was obsessed with Ember as far as Scarlet was concerned. In fact, everyone was.
Their mother and father treated her like some first prize trophy, while Scarlet sat on the back burner, ignored.
Ember excelled in school, getting a perfect report card every quarter of every year. Scarlet brought home average grades, but they were nothing compared to her sister's.
To Scarlet, life was hell. She loved her parents but yearned for more attention. She had friends in school, but she wasn't a part of the popular crowd like Ember. She didn't want to be popular, though. School was the only place she could escape her sister. When she was there she didn't have to share every special moment with her.
Every moment at home was always Ember and Scarlet, Scarlet and Ember. It was never just Scarlet. For once, she would have loved to just spend one birthday by herself without having to watch Ember's boyfriend drool over her as if she were the cake in the center of the table.

Scarlet shifted in her chair, then glanced over at her mother. Seventeen years with that woman. It was hard to believe. She loved her mother more than she loved Ember and her father. Unlike the other two, her mother actually showed her a little attention. Even though she was obsessed with Ember, she still managed to make comments on Scarlet's behavior. It was something Scarlet felt good about. Although it wasn't much, it was still better than nothing.
At the moment though, her mother was just as engrossed with Ember as her father and Devin. She was surprised that they had even remembered to put her name on the birthday cake.
Letting out a heavy sigh, Scarlet cleared her throat loudly. "Moving on," she said, glaring at Devin who was still cooing over Ember.
"Sorry," he said, sitting up straight with a grin on his face.
"Yes Ember," their mother, JoAnn said politely, "hurry and open your gift. It's Scarlet's turn."
Scarlet gave her mother a grateful smile, then watched as Ember carefully unwrapped the small box in front of her. Her eyes widened in disbelief when she saw the gift inside. Why did Devin have to do this now? Was he really trying to ruin her special day? Seeing the sparkling diamond ring in the beautiful velvet case led her to believe that he was.
Devin gave Ember a moment to absorb what was happening before he pushed back his chair and got on one knee beside her. He grabbed her reluctant hand and looked up into her eyes, smiling with pride. "Will you marry me?" He said with hope in every word.
Ember gasped, holding her free hand to her chest, as if to stop her heart from breaking free from its chambers. "Devin," she said through shaky breaths. "Yes!"
A second later, Devin had scooped her up into an embrace and they were laughing and crying with joy.
Scarlet quickly turned to her parents, hoping to catch their reactions. Her father, Thomas, had no readable expression on his face. However, JoAnn was beaming. Her hands were clasped together and the look of awe and adoration on her face caused chunks to rise in Scarlet's throat. Were they really okay with their seventeen year old daughter getting engaged?
Scarlet shook her head. "Are you serious?" She said aloud, staring up at her sister.
"Of course," said Devin, as he took a seat again and tried to regain his composure.
"Oh, how wonderful!" JoAnn said, smiling from ear to ear. "I always knew you two would marry someday."
"I hope it's after graduation," Thomas cut in. Everyone turned to him, waiting for anything else he had to say. "School is your first priority, remember, dear?" He said to Ember.
She nodded, quickly saying, "yes Daddy. I'm sure Devin has no problem waiting."
"I'll wait as long as I have to," Devin added.
"Good," Thomas nodded, letting out a sigh of relief. "Then congratulations and welcome to the family, son."
Scarlet frowned. "They're not married yet, Dad," she reminded him.
Thomas seemingly ignored her remark as he stood and shook Devin's hand.
"What a great birthday," Ember squeeled with delight. Her eyes sparkled as she examined the ring on her finger.
Scarlet clenched her jaw and pushed her chair back. She had simply had enough of it. "I'm leaving," she announced harshly.
"But, sweetie, you haven't opened your gifts yet!" JoAnn said in surprise. She reached for a small box that was resting beside her arm and practically shoved it in Scarlet's face. "Open this one, please?"
Scarlet let out a sigh and reached for the box hesitantly. "I guess," she mumbled. She held it in her hands, examining it for a moment before carefully ripping the wrapping paper off it.
